Manually configuring my mobile

Configure your mobile for text (SMS) and multimedia (MMS) messages and internet using our configuration tool. Can’t find your model? Follow these easy steps!

The answer to your question depends on what version of the SIM card you have! To find out more, read this article and check to see if you have an old generation or new generation SIM card. Then you’ll know which part of this article is of interest to you!

You have an “old generation” SIM card

Configure your texts
Go to the text message or SMS settings of your mobile phone.

·         For the Apple operating system (IOS): enter **5005*76720032468146810#*, then press the "Call" key

·         For other operating systems: enter 003246814686810 in the message centre field.

Configure your MMS messages
Go to your mobile's MMS-related settings and enter the following data:

·         APN: mms.be

·         MMSC: http://mmsc.telenet.be.

·         Proxy: 195.130.149.100

·         MMS port: 80

·         MCC: 206

·         MNC: 05

Note that for iOS, Windows Phone and Blackberry operating systems, you will only need to enter the APN, MMSC and Proxy data mentioned above.

Configure your mobile internet (data)
Go to your mobile's internet/data settings, and
enter this data:

·         APN: telenetwap.be

·         MCC: 206

·         MNC: 05

Note that for iOS, Windows Phone and Blackberry operating systems, you will only need to enter the APN data mentioned above.

You have a “new generation” SIM card

Configure your text messages

To manually configure your text messages, you must go to the SMS settings in your mobile phone’s menu.

In the message centre field, enter this number: 32455003003

If you have a mobile phone with an Apple IOS operating system, enter **5005*7672003245555003003#*, then press the "Call" key.

Configure your mobile internet (data)

You will follow a different mobile internet configuration procedure, depending on the make and model of your phone:

·         Device without Data function: No configuration is required.



·         Android - VOO recognised by the device: No configuration is required.



·         Android - SMS OTA compatible device: The following text message will be sent to you when the time comes to configure: “VOOmobile - Hello, you will now receive a notification to configure your mobile phone's Data connection. Install it to continue making the most of your services.”



·         Android/other - Device not compatible with SMS OTA: The following text message will be sent to you when the time comes to configure: “VOOmobile - Your mobile phone cannot be configured automatically. Connect to a Wi-Fi network and then go to www.voomobile.be/data for manual configuration. Need help? Contact us on 5050 or meet us at a VOO store.”



·         IOS recognised as an IPhone 5 or newer - Configuration available via web link: The following text message will be sent to you when the time comes to configure: “VOOmobile - We will now configure your connection settings. Connect to a Wi-Fi network and click on the link below to continue making the most of your services.”

This link is available for one use only and for 72 hours. If the link has expired, you will receive a new message if you try to use it: “This link has expired! Unfortunately, this link is no longer valid to configure your connection settings. How to receive a new link? Send INIT to 5550 (free message).”



·         IOS recognised as an IPhone 3G/3GS/4/4/4S - Device not compatible with SMS OTA: The following text message will be sent to you when the time comes to configure: “VOOmobile - Your mobile phone cannot be configured automatically. Connect to a Wi-Fi network and then go to www.voomobile.be/data for manual configuration. Need help? Contact us on 5050 or meet us at a VOO store.”

To manually configure your mobile internet, you must go to the mobile internet settings of your mobile phone menu. In these settings, enter this data:

·         APN: internet.voo.be (with Android / iOS / Windows Phone / Blackberry operating systems)

·         MCC: Compatible with the following operating systems:

·         MNC: 05 (with the Android operating system)

The MMS service is no longer available with the new generation SIM card. For more information on this subject, read this article.

If you do not receive your configuration text message 

Attention

If you have an iPhone, the link in the text message sent to you is valid for 72 hours and only once. If you have been waiting for more than an hour or if you have already clicked on this link without starting the configuration, it will no longer be possible to use it. You will then need to receive a new configuration text message.

If you have not received your configuration text message or it is no longer working, you can request another yourself via the "Sicap" platform:

Login to your account

All you have to do is enter your phone number in the appropriate field.

Check your text messages


Your password is sent to you by text message, it is available for one use only.

Request a new configuration text message

Once connected to the platform using this password, you can request a new configuration message to be sent to your phone.

Consult the procedure to follow

Once you have pressed the "start" button, the text message is sent and a new page gives you information on how to proceed.
